Welcome to The Elevator Association of Florida, Inc. ("EAOF," "Association," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using this website, becoming a member, registering for events, making payments, or participating in any Association activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or participating in any Association-sponsored activities, events, meetings, educational programs, conferences, golf tournaments, networking functions, or other activities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this website or participate in Association activities.


3. Membership

Membership Eligibility

Membership is subject to approval by the Association and must meet any eligibility requirements established by the Board of Directors.

Membership Dues

All annual membership dues are due and payable no later than February 1st of each calendar year.

Members who fail to pay dues by February 1st may be considered inactive, suspended, or not in good standing until payment is received and processed.

Membership Renewals

Membership renewals are not automatic. Members are responsible for renewing their membership and paying dues through the Association's website or other approved payment methods.

The Association reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to approve, deny, suspend, terminate, or refuse renewal of any membership application or membership renewal for any lawful reason.

Good Standing

To remain in good standing, members must:

  1. Maintain current membership dues.
  2. Comply with all Association policies and rules.
  3. Conduct themselves professionally and ethically.
  4. Not engage in conduct that may harm the Association, its members, sponsors, or reputation.

4. Payments and Refunds

All fees, dues, sponsorships, registrations, and other payments submitted to the Association are subject to review and approval.

Unless otherwise stated in writing for a specific event or program:

  1. Membership dues are non-refundable.
  2. Sponsorship fees are non-refundable.
  3. Event registration fees are non-refundable.
  4. The Association reserves the right to cancel or modify events at any time.

Refund requests, if considered, shall be evaluated solely at the discretion of the Association.


5. Event Participation and Assumption of Risk

Participation in any Association-sponsored event, meeting, conference, seminar, golf tournament, networking event, training program, social gathering, fundraiser, or other activity is entirely voluntary.

By attending or participating in any Association event, whether free or paid, you acknowledge and agree that:

  1. Participation may involve certain risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, accidents, travel-related incidents, or other unforeseen hazards.
  2. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your attendance and participation.
  3. You are responsible for your own safety and conduct.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Elevator Association of Florida, Inc., its officers, directors, members, volunteers, sponsors, employees, agents, affiliates, venues, and event organizers shall not be liable for any:

  1. Personal injury;
  2. Illness;
  3. Death;
  4. Property loss;
  5. Property damage;
  6. Theft;
  7. Accident;
  8. Financial loss; or
  9. Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

arising out of or related to participation in any Association event or activity.

All participation is at the attendee's own risk.


6. Sponsor Events

The Association may promote, endorse, advertise, or facilitate events hosted by sponsors, partners, exhibitors, vendors, or third parties.

The Association is not responsible for the actions, omissions, services, products, facilities, safety practices, or operations of any sponsor or third party.

Attendance at sponsor-hosted events is voluntary and at the attendee's sole risk.


7. Website Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the website for any unlawful purpose.
  2. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website.
  3. Interfere with website operations.
  4. Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.
  5. Use Association content without authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who violates these Terms.
